The CNSI's strong academic responsiblity is to support and train students and post-docs to be the next generation of research leaders, both in academia and in industry. Some sample programs include:
The CNSI Summer Undergraduate Research Fellowships
CNSI has created of a Summer Undergraduate
Research Fellowship Program. Seven outstanding undergraduate
students were selected to work on a nanoscience research project
with a CNSI Member at UCLA. CNSI plans to continue this program in the future.
The CNSI Graduate Student Fellowship Awards 2004-2005
This Fall will mark the third year that the CNSI has awarded the
CNSI Graduate Students Fellowships. Congratulations to everyone
and welcome to UCLA.

The CNSI Postdoctoral Scholarship Fellowships
The CNSI has awarded five postdoctoral scholars with a fellowship
to work under the direction of a CNSI Member on nanoscience related
research project. We also look forward to contributing some of
their time to supporting the CNSI programs throughout the year.
The CNSI/Hewlett Packard Postdoctoral Scholarship Fellowships
The CNSI has awarded six postdoctoral scholars with a fellowship
to work under the direction of a CNSI Member on nanoscience related
research project. We also look forward to them contributing some
